The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

The rising star boasts impressive online following

The young golfer can count on multiple high-profile supporters as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a special exemption to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, owns several courses worldwide and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.

"He is the best player worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, have fun, and go with whatever happens."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that involving Kai brings golf to different demographics, especially with youth audiences.

Kai boasts a massive following and recently launched a personal apparel and wellness company.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
